Answer:
a. Banda Bahadur -After establishing his authority and Khalsa rule in Punjab, Banda Singh Bahadur abolished the zamindari system, and grantednl property rights to the tillers of the land. Banda Singh was captured by the Mughals and tortured to death in 1715–1716.
b. Ahmad shah abdali -In 1761, Abdali defeated the Maratha in the Third Battle of Panipat and thus gave a big blow to their ambition of controlling the Mughal Emperor and thereby dominating the country.
c. mohammad shah - Although he was a patron of the arts, Muhammad Shah's reign was marked by rapid and irreversible decline of the Mughal Empire. The Mughal Empire was already decaying, but the invasion by Nader Shah of Persia and the subsequent sacking of Delhi, the Mughal capital, greatly accelerated the pace.
d. By Clive’s time, though the Mughal emperors still exercised some control in the north — Bengal, for example — through their vassals, in the south their suzerainty over rulers such as the nizams of Hyderabad was growing ever more theoretical. The resulting power vacuum encouraged local rulers to challenge for power and provided chances for European countries — especially Britain and France — to profit from Indian disunity.
e. Nawab Siraj ud Daulah - Bengal’s new Nawab Siraj-ud-daulah challenged the increasing power of the British. To consolidate its position the British built Fort William in Calcutta. This further infuriated Siraj-ud-daulah and he attacked the Fort and won. Soon after, Robert Clive was asked to take charge of the Company. In the Battle of Plassey, Clive cleverly ousted Siraj, defeated the French (ally of the Nawab), signed a pact with the defeated army and killed the Nawab.
f. Mir Jaffar- Mir jafar did not take part in the battle of plassey because he was promised by britishers that they will made him the nawab.
