Q.Why do solids and liquids have open surface while gases do not?

because gas molecules can move freely in air and solid molecules are in their fix position so they have open surface

While the particles of gases are very far away from each other and have least force of attraction between them. Therefore, gases do not have definite shape, they diffuse easily into air and hence have no open surface area.
