Q. Why do the countries call the prince 'the Happy Prince'? Was he really happy? What does he see all around him?

The courtiers called the prince 'the Happy Prince' because he was always happy. He did not know what tears were as he lived in a palace where sorrow was not allowed to enter. ... After death when he was made into a statue, tears flowed down his eyes on seeing the ugliness and the miseries of his city.

The courtiers called the Price happy because when he was alive he never face sorrow. He was very happy in the palace. But after his death when he saw the misery of the people of his he became very sad. He saw how people had nothing to eat. no house to sleep. no dress to wear In winter. So he felt very sad.
