Two magnetic field lines never intersects each other because if they did so, there would be two directions shown by the needle of compass placed at that point. Two directions shown by needle is not possible. Hence two magnetic field lines never intersects each other.

Imagine to hold a current carrying conductor in your right hand such that your thumb points in the direction of current, then only your curled fingers around the conductor would give you the direction of magnetic field. This is called right hand thumb rule.

It is used to find the direction of magnetic field.
