Q 1) The cell wall exerts counter-pressure which prevents the cell from bursting. When the pressure is equal to the pressure of the water flowing in, the cell reaches equilibrium with as much water leaving the cell as enters the cell.
Q2) hydrophytes do not have cuticle on the stem or leave because they do not have any problem in obtaining water and cuticle is a water covering layer. Hence why they excrete out extra water by transpiration.
