The " Animal " poem is taken from the poet Walt Whitman's " Song Of Myself ( Leaves of Grass ) poem". Walt Whitman found that animals are very placid as well as self-contained. They like to stay happily without any tension. They don't act madly at random. They don't complain about their conditions. They do not lie awake in the dark and weep for their sins. They never quarrel each other. Walt Whitman saw that animals are distinct from human beings. He saw animals are quite and calm. They always live in peace. After all he was affected by the qualities of the animals. That's why Walt Whitman wants to live with animals for good.
