(ii) 257
(ii) 408

We know that the ending digit ofperfect square is 0, 1, 4, 5, 6, and 9. ∴ A number ending in 2, 3, 7 or 8 can never be a perfect square. ∴ (i) 153, cannot be a perfect square. (ii) 257, cannot be a perfect square.
