Through the columns of your reputed newspaper, I want to draw attention of the readers and authorities towards the growing menace of monkeys in Haridwar.  

Every day we hear about monkey bites on the streets of the city. The city is teeming with hostile and aggressive monkeys. Recently, this menace has reached our colony too. The residents have been bitten badly by these savage monkeys. They tear clothes left for drying on the lines; they get into the kitchens and take away whatever eatables are lying around. The worst aspect is, they bite if you dare to shoo them away.

This letter should be a wakeup call for the authorities to look into this serious matter and take prompt action by catching these wild monkeys and rehabilitate them in forests or zoos. I hope this letter finds place in your newspaper and prompt steps are taken to stop the monkey menace from Haridwar.
