The inequality gap is illustrated by a recent Oxfam study which found that the world's richest 1% have more than twice as much wealth as the other 6.9 billion people on Earth. So while globalization increases our collective global wealth, many argue that most of the shared gains go back into the pockets of those who already have the most.
