Given:-

  • Number of Red balls is 3.

  • Number of White balls is 4.

  • Number of Black balls is 5.

  • Number of Green balls is 3.

To Find:-

  • If a ball is drawn from the bag find the:-

  • Probability of getting a white ball.

  • Probability of getting a red ball.

Solution:-

Here, Number of total balls is 3 + 4 + 5 + 3 = 15 balls

Since, A ball is drawn from the bag then the probability of getting a white ball is :-

S(n) = 4

P(W) = \dfrac{4}{15}

Now, A ball is drawn from the bag then the probability of getting a red ball is :-

S(n) = 3

P(R) = \dfrac{3}{15}     = \dfrac{1}{5}

Hence,

  • Probability of getting a white ball is \dfrac{4}{15} .

  • Probability of getting a red ball is \dfrac{1}{5} .

Some Important Terms:-

  •   Probability is a concept which numerically measures the degree of certainty of the occurrence of events.

  • Probability of any experiment will be  0 ≤ P ≥ 1.

  • If the probability is 0 then the experiment is impossible event.

  • If the probability is 1 then the experiment is sure event.

  • Summation of all events probability will be 1.
