I think that the question is wrong ,but I have done according to the question.

According to me , the length should be 30m rather than 30cm... now according to this the answer must be the second picture.

= 336 m²

Tile Size = 50 cm * 50cm

Area of Tile = (50/100) * (50/100)

= (1/2) * (1/2)

= 1/4  m²

Number of Tiles required = 336/(1/4)

= 1344
