Q1. A log of wood has area 20 cm 2 at one end and 1100cm 2 at the other end. A
force of 11000 N is applied on the first end. Calculate the pressure acting on it if
the broader end is used to hit the wall.

1100 \: cm {}^{2}  = 0.11 \: m {}^{2}

pressure =  \frac{force}{area}

 \frac{11000 \times 100}{0.11 \times 100}  =  \frac{1100000}{11}

Pressure = 1,00,000 Pa.
