Answer:

Given, x2−3 x+2=0

(x−2)(x−1)=0

x=2 and x=1

Hence, x=2 and x=1 are roots of x4−px2+q

Substituting x=1, we get

1−p+q=0→ (a)

Substituting x=2, we get

16−4p+q=0→ (b)

Subtracting (b) from (a), we get

(1−16)+3 p=0

3 p=15

p=5; Substituting in (a), we get

1−5+q=0

q=4
