if the cell is placed in hypotonic solution the cell will swell up by the process of osmosis
cell may brush but cell wall prevent it from brusting

Plant cell when placed in a hypotonic solution gets swelled up due to entrance of water from outer surrounding by a process called osmosis.
The cell will not burst because when water is absorbed till limit the turgidity will increase which will increase ridigity.
A raisin kept in water gets swelled but never burst out due to this only.
