Sheikh Mohammed ruler of Dubai and Prime Minister of UAE has spoken regarding his ambition to make the country "number one".
In CNN interview how much he wants to go following rapid rise of UAE on world map he said: "We want to be number one."
Sheikh Mohammed who is the vice president of UAE also dismissed talk of extremists targeting Dubai.
They haven't made problems for us you and they're living together and they have an interest to come here so that they can work and send home money from here so they don't want to spoil.
He denied that recent increase in salaries for government workers in UAE was a direct response to Arab Spring where citizens elsewhere in Middle East and North Africa have protest against their rulers.
Sheikh Mohammed said "No" it's because of Arab Spring we did it before Arab Spring initiates and we did it several times before.
In past 10 years you see we have doubled salaries many times.
The Arab Spring is widely believed to have been instigated by dissatisfaction, particularly of youth and unions, with the rule of local governments, though some have speculated that wide gaps in income levels and pressures caused by the Great Recession may have had a hand as well.
