Q1. Activity: To find zeroes of a quadratic polynomials graphically.

Aim: To draw the graph of the quadratic polynomial and observe the curve of the graph drawn by using the following polynomial

Answer:

Given quadratic polynomial is y=x2−4x+4

To find the points on the graph, we will substitute few values of x and find the values of y.

If x=0, then y=02−4×0+4=0−0+4=4

If x=1, then y=12−4×1+4=1−4+4=1

If x=2, then y=22−4×2+4=4−8+4=0

So, the points are (0,4),(1,1),(2,0).

Plotting (0,4),(1,1),(2,0) and joining them.

Here, the graph cuts x-axis at one distinct point A.

The x-coordinates of A(2,0) is the one zeroes of the quadratic polynomial y=x2−4x+4
