******************************

SP of 45 lemons = Rs 40

SP of 1 lemon = Rs (40/45) = Rs (8/9)

Let CP be Rs x.

Loss% = 20%

Loss = (20/100) of CP = (1/5)*x

SP = CP - loss

=> (8/9) = x - (x/5)

=> (8/9) = (5x-x)/5

=> (8/9) = 4x/5

=> 8*5/9*4 = x

.•. x = Rs 10/9

Now,

Profit% = 20%

Profit = (20/100)*CP = (20/100)*(10/9) = Rs (2/9)

SP = profit + CP = (10/9)+(2/9) = Rs (12/9) = Rs (4/3)

So,

Rs (4/3) is the SP of 1 lemon.

Rs 1 is the SP of 1/(4/3) = (3/4) lemon.

.•. Rs 24 is the SP of (3/4)*24 = 18 lemons.

So, the correct option is B
