1). rectilinear motion => when an object moves in a straight line or only one direction it is said to be in rectilinear motion.
eg. motion of a train on a straight track is said to be in rectilinear motion.

2.) circular motion => when an object moves around a circular path or from a same radius it is said to be in circular motion.
eg. motion of wheel on the same axis.

3.) to and from motion of object were equal intervals of time take place to complete one oscillation of an object is Called period motion.
eg. motion of a pendulum which is hanged by a string.

speed:-

(I) speed is a scalar quantity .

(2) speed has no direction.

3). speed is always positive

4) if a body move on a circular path the average speed never be zero.

velocity :-

1) it is a vector quantity

2) velocity can be positive or negative

3) if a body move on a circular path it's velocity can be zero on a certain part.
