Q1) Does Khoobchand get Profit in the sell of Apples ?

Q2) The loss or profit percent in the sale of Apples

(a)14% (b)10% (c) 15% (d) 11%

Q3) in the sale of Bananas Khoobchand get --- (Profit/Loss)

Q4) The loss or profit percent in the sale of Bananas

(a)3.25% (b)6% (c) 10% (d) none of the above

Q5) At the end of overall transaction Khoobchand is in :-

(a) profit (b) loss (c)no profit no loss (d) none of the above .

Solution :-

Apples :-

→ Khoobchand purchased total apples = 20 kg at Rs. 50 / kg .

So,

→ CP of total apples = 20 * 50 = Rs. 1000

now,

→ After rotten apples left = (20 * 95)/100 =19 kg

→ Total SP of all left apples = 60 * 19 = Rs. 1140

since SP > CP

→ Profit on apples = 1140 - 1000 = Rs. 140

therefore,

→ Profit % on apples = (140 * 100)/1000 = 14%

Bananas :-

→ Khoobchand purchased total bananas = 30 dozen at Rs. 40 / dozen .

So,

→ CP of total bananas = 30 * 40 = Rs. 1200

now,

→ After rotten bananas left = (30 * 90)/100 = 27 dozen

→ Total SP of all bananas left = 27 * 43 = Rs. 1161

since CP > SP

→ Total loss on bananas = 1200 - 1161 = Rs. 39

therefore,

→ Loss % on bananas = (39 * 100) / 1200 = 3.25%

Overall :-

→ Total CP = 1000 + 1200 = Rs. 2200

→ Total SP = 1140 + 1161 = Rs. 2301

since, SP > CP .

therefore, At the end of overall transaction Khoobchand is in profit.
