Answer:-

\sf\purple{Flower}

  • A flower has four whorls =

  1. Sepals
  2. Petals
  3. Stamen
  4. Pistil (carpel)

  • The leaf like green structures at the base of the flowers are called as Sepals,which are the outermost whorl of the flower.

  • Petals, the second whorl, are the brightly colored structures to attract insects.

  • Stamen, is the third whorl of the flower. It is also the male reproductive organ of the flower. It has a long stalk called filament and a swollen tip called anther. Pollen grains are present in the anther. Pollen grains contain male gametes.

  • The innermost whorl of the flower is pistil or carpel. It is the female reproductive organ of the flower. It has three parts = a swollen, basal portion called ovary, which continues into a long style that ends in the structure called as stigma. Inside the ovary lie ovules, that contains the female gamete or egg.
