Answer:

48 sq. unit

Step-by-step explanation:

draw a perpendicular from top on base 6 units

it will form a rectangle area of rectangle =12 sq. units

area of triangle=1/2×6×12=36sq.units

on adding both areas 48 squnits will be the answer

Step-by-step explanation:

Given:-

Measurements of the given figure are 1 units,6 units,12 units,13 units

To find:-

Area of the given figure ?

Solution:-

Given figure is a trapezoid

Lengths of the two parallel sides are 1 unit and 6 units

Let a=1 unit and b=6 units

Perpendicular distance between them (h)=12 units

Area of a Trapezium (Trapezoid)

=1/2 h(a+b) units^2

=>12(1+6)/2

=>12×7/2

=>6×7

=>42 units^2

Answer:-

Area of the given figure is 42 units^2

(or)

to obtain the total are of the given figure draw a perpendicular from top to bottom

then it becomes two figures .they are rectangle and triangle

Area of the rectangle

Length of the rectangle=12 units

Breadth of the rectangle=1 unit

Area of the rectangle=lb units^2

=>12×1=12 units^2-----(1)

Area of the triangle :-

When drawn perpendicular then base divided into 1 unit and 5 units

so, Base of the triangle=5 units

and height of the triangle =12 units

hypotenuse =13 units

Area of the right angled triangle=1/2 ab units^2

=>5×12/2

=>60/2

=>30 units^2

Area of the given figure =Area of the rectangle+Area of the triangle

=>12+30

=>42 units^2

Answer:-

Area of the given figure=42 units^2
