Explanation:

Given :

Base of right angle triangle = 10cm

Perpendicular of right triangle = 24cm

To find :

Hypotenuse of right triangle = ?

Solution :

Using the pythagoras theorem that is,

» Pythagoras theorem states that In a right-angled triangle, the square of the hypotenuse side is equal to the sum of squares of the other two sides.

Formula : H² = P² + B².

Where,

H is the Hypotenuse.

P is the Perpendicular.

B is the Base.

By substituting all the given values in the formula,

➙ H² = (24)² + (10)²

➙ H² = 576 + (10)²

➙ H² = 576 + 100

➙ H² = 676

➙ H = √676

➙ H = 26

Hence, option (1) 26cm is the length of the hypotenuse of a right angled triangle.

~Here, we’re given the length of base and perpendicular in a right-angled triangle, which are making right angle of 90 degrees and we need to find the hypotenuse of that triangle. We can find the hypotenuse by applying the Pythagoras theorem.

_____________

As we know that ,

★ Pythagoras theorem = h² = b² + p²

Where,

• h is hypotenuse

b is base = 10 cm

p is perpendicular = 24 cm

Finding hypotenuse :-

➟ h² = 10² + 24²

➟ h² = 100 + 576

➟ h² = 676

➟ h = √676

➟ h = 26 cm

_____________

Hence,

• Measure of Hypotenuse is 26 cm  ( Option 'a' )
