If once we suffer from chickenpox the bacteria that is present in our immune system will try to fight the pox but it won't be able to recognize when it affects us the first but if the pox would try to enter again in our body the bacteria will immediately recognize the pox and would be able to fight and get rid of it.

An individual will not suffer same disease twice in their lifetime as the immune system will retain the memory cells, from the time of first infection.

Explanation:

An individual will not suffer from the same disease twice in their lifetime as the immune system will retain the memory cells, from the time of first infection. When an new micro-organism attacks an individual the microbe is a foreign substance which the immune system fights with the help of medicines.

The immune system retains the memory of the microbes throughout the lifetime of that individual, once attacked by it. Hence when the individual is attacked for the second time the micro-organism is no more a foreign substance and the immune system is able to identify and kill the microbe before the infection is caused.
