Solution:-

Given,

$(x - 1)$

is a factor then x = 1

Substitute x = 1

$( {1})^{2} + (1) + k = 0$

$1 + 1 + k = 0$

$2 + k = 0$

$k = - 2$

If (x-1) is a factor of x²-2x+k then the value of k is

Solution:-

Given,

$(x - 1)$

is a factor

Put x = 1

$( {1})^{2} - 2(1) + k = 0$

$1 - 2 + k = 0$

$k - 1 = 0$

$k = 1$
