Answer

9cm

Given:-

The longest side of a parallelogram is 3cm more than it's shorter side and the perimeter of the parallelogram is 30cm.

Solution:-

Let the shorter side of the parallelogram be x cm.

∴ longest side = x+3 cm

l = x+3 cm and b = x cm

Now,

perimeter of parallelogram = 30cm

⇒ 2(l+b) = 30cm

⇒ 2(x+3+x) = 30

⇒ 2x+3 = \frac{30}{2}

⇒ 2x+3 = 15

⇒ 2x = 15-3 = 12

∴ x = \frac{12}{2} = 6

Hence, the longest side of the parallelogram is x+3 = 6+3 = 9cm.
