Making 'x" as the subject :

a) b = 2x + ax

⠀⇒2x + ax = b

⠀⇒ x(2+a) = b

⠀⇒ x = b ÷ (2 + a)

b) a = 3x2

⠀⇒ 6x = a

⠀⇒ x = a÷6

c) 3(x - a) = 2

⠀⇒3x - 3a = 2

⠀⇒ 3x = 2 + 3a

⠀⇒ x = (2 + 3a) ÷ 3

d) 5y = 2(8x + 2)

⠀⇒ 16x + 4 = 5y

⠀⇒ 16x = 5y - 4

⠀⇒ x = (5y - 4) ÷ 16
