To find : to multiply one rational number with the reciprocal of another rational number .

Given rational numbers : \frac{3}{7}  \ and \ \frac{-5}{7}

Solution :

  • As we know , reciprocal of a fraction is a interchanging the places of numerator and denominator upside down .
  • To solve the above question we need to find reciprocal of  \frac{-5}{7} .
  • therefore, reciprocal of \frac{-5}{7} \ is\  \frac{-7}{5}
  • now , to find product we multiply   \frac{3}{7} \ and \ \frac{-7}{5}  .

    ⇒                        \frac{3}{7} \times (\frac{-7}{5})

        on simplifying we get,

                                 = \frac{3}{5}

     Hence , \frac{3}{5} is the required product of  \frac{3}{7} and reciprocal of  \frac{-5}{7}

  • As per the given question we have to determine the given value.

        Given data:-\frac{3}{7} reciprocal of \frac{-5}{7} .

        To find:- to multiply one rational number with the reciprocal of another rational number.

          Solution:-

  • As we know, the reciprocal of a fraction is interchanging the places of numerator and denominator upside down.
  • To solve the above question we need to find reciprocal of \frac{-5}{7}   .
  • Therefore, reciprocal of \frac{-5}{7} is \frac{-7}{5}

         now , to find product we multiply \frac{3}{7} and \frac{-7}{5}

                 \frac{3}{7} \times(\frac{-7}{5} )\\=\frac{3}{5} .

       Hence we will get the value  \frac{3}{5},
