The children of India celebrate the Children's Day on the 14th November
every year. It is celebrated in honour of our first Prime Minister, Pandit
sawaharlal Nehru. His family belonged to Kashmir. His father Motllal
Nehru was an eminent lawyer. His actual surname was Kaul. He grew up
and spent his early years as a lonely child. He was taught at home by
private tutors.
When he was fifteen years old, he went to England, accompanied by his
father, mother and two sisters. There he educated at Trinity College,
Cambridge. He came back to India and Joined Indian National Congress
He fought for the freedom of India and became the first Prime Minister
of India. He was called 'Chacho Nehru by the children of our country,
