Q1 Read the passage and answer the following questions:
Certain cultural and economical factors create inequality among the people and on the basis of such inequality, people are discriminated. Different cultures, caste, languages, religions etc may be the aspects of diversity. But, when they are used in negative sense, they become sources or reasons of discrimination. Discrimination happens when people act on their prejudices or stereotypes. In other words people may be discriminated because their customs or practices are seen as inferior. The difference between the economic backgrounds is also a cause for inequality and discrimination. The poor who are unable to meet their basic needs of food, clothing and shelter often experience discrimination in the neighbourhood, school, offices, society etc, When the cultural and economic factors combine together, they make the situation worst.
