3x - 2y = 1 -------(i)
3x - y = 5-------(ii)
Equating (i) & (ii)
3x- 2y=1
3x- y=5
- + -
---------------
-y = -4
or y = 4
and put this value in (i)
we get,
3x = 1 + 8
x = 3
