Q1.Solve the following simultaneous equations by elimination method.
3x – 2y = 1 ; 3x – y = 5

3x - 2y = 1 -------(i)

3x - y = 5-------(ii)

Equating (i) & (ii)

3x- 2y=1

3x- y=5

   -y = -4

  or y = 4

and put this value in (i)

we get,

    3x = 1 + 8

      x = 3
