Explanation:

We have given two Equations 2x+y= 5 & 3x-y = 6

How to solve ?

step 1: We can solve the above Equations by various ways here ,we solve it through elimination method and then by substitution method.

➞ 2x+y= 5

➞y = 5-2x------(1)

➞ 3x-y= 6

from equation 1

➞3x-(5-2x)=6

➞3x-5+2x=6

➞3x+2x-5=6

➞5x=11

➞x= 11/5

Put X's value into equation 1

➞y= 5-2x

➞y= 5-2(11/5)

➞y= 5-22/5

➞25-22/5

➞y= 3/5

Therefore,x= 11/5 & y = 3/5

Check:-

➞2x+y= 5

➞2(11/5)+3/5

➞22/5+3/5

➞25/5= 5

Alternative Method

By elimination method

➞2x+y=5-----(×3)

➞3x-y= 6------(×2)

New Equation obtained

➞6x+3y=15

➞6x-2y=12

➞(-)(+)\:(-)(−)(+)(−)

___________

5y= 3

y= 3/5

➞2x+y=5

➞2x+3/5=5

➞2x=5-3/5

➞2x=25-3/5

➞2x=22/5

➞x= 22/5×1/2

➞x=11/5
