Q1...Sudha wants to make a small playground area in her house. She has identified a
space of length 20 meters and width of 26 meters in her back yard. Her father has
measured that for every 13 square meters she needs 5 tiles. So, he bought colourful
tiles for his daughter. Work out solution to find out how many tiles he must have
bought for the playground area?

Q2...Rajni decided to renovate her guestroom. She decided to buy bricks from a local
construction material shop. The shopkeeper told her that 16 bricks will be needed to
cover per square metre. She knows that length of her room is 12 metres and width is
8 metres. Work out and find out how many bricks she should order?

Q1.length of the playground area=20metres

width of the playground area=26metres

area of the playground area=20×26

520m²

5 tiles needed for 13m²

then, for 520m²

=520/13

=40tiles are needed for 520m²

Q2.length of her room=12m

width of her room=8m

area of her room=12×8=96m²

bricks needed for 1 m²=16bricks

therefore,bricks needed for 96m²=96×16=1536 bricks needed.
