Equation formed : Let the number be x then ,

Five times a number means 5x and ten subtracted from it gives , 5x - 10 = 100

Solution : 5x - 10 = 100

= 5x = 100 + 10

= 5x = 110

= x = 110/5

= x = 22

So the number is 22
