Explanation:

Given

HCF of two numbers is 9 and their LCM is 36.

One number is given which is 12.

To Find

We have to find the other number

\sf\huge {\underline{\underline{{Solution}}}} </p><p>Solution

Since, HCF and LCM is given & also one number is given.

Learning the concept:

\sf \boxed{HCF \times LCM = Product \: of \: two \: Numbers}

This concept said that the product of HCF and LCM of two natural numbers must be equal to the product of the given number.

Now, HCF = 9 & LCM = 36 ; one number = 12

Since,we don't know the second number so,let the other number be 'x'

=>9*36= 12*x

=>324= 12x

=>x= 324÷12

=>x= 27

Therefore,the other number is 27.

Check:

=> HCF *LCM = product of two numbers

=> 9*36= 27*12

=>324=324
