= 140 m^2

Area of roof  

= 8 x 6

= 48 m^2

Therefore, area to be whitewashed = 140 m^2 + 48 m^2

Area to be whitewashed = 188 m^2

Area of the door = 3.5 x 1.5=5.25  m^2

Area of whitewashing = 188 – 5.25 = 182.75 m^2

Cost of whitewashing  

= rate x area

= 20 x 182.75  

= Rs 3655
