Answer:

Rs.3760

Step-by-step explanation:

Area to be white washed = area of 4 walls + area of roof

Area of four walls = 2. height ( length + breadth )

Area of roof = area of rectangle = length x breadth

l = 8 m    b = 6 m     h = 5 m

Area of four walls

= 2 x 5 ( 8 + 6 )

= 10(14)

= 140 m^2

Area of roof

= 8 x 6

= 48 m^2

Therefore, area to be whitewashed = 140 m^2 + 48 m^2

Area to be whitewashed = 188 m^2

Area of the door = 3.5 x 1.5=5.25  m^2

Area of whitewashing = 188 – 5.25 = 182.75 m^2

Cost of whitewashing

= rate x area

= 20 x 182.75

= Rs 3655

Cost of whitewashing = Rs 3655
