Explanation:

Given

Length of a Rectangle is 2 more than thrice it's width. Perimeter is 76 units.

To Find

We have to find its dimensions

Since,we don't know it's dimensions so,let us assume some Variable.

Let the Breadth of the Rectangle be 'x'

Then length is 2 more than thrice its width

Thrice of width = 3*x= 3x

According to the question:

length of the Rectangle= 2+3x

Perimeter of the Rectangle= 2(l+b)

Where l is the length and b is the breadth

Perimeter of Rectangle= 2(2+3x+x)

=> 76= 2(4x+2)

=> 76= 8x+4

=> 76-4=8x

=> 72= 8x

=> x= 9

x=9

Therefore, breadth is 9 units

Length = 2+3x=> 2+3(9)= 29

Length is 29 units

Check:

Perimeter of Rectangle= 2(9+29)

Perimeter of Rectangle= 2(38)= 76 units

More information=>

Perimeter is the total distance occupy by a solid 2D figure around its edge.

Area of Rectangle= length *breadth
