Given:

The initial ratio of girls to boys = 2:3

The number of girls increased = 30

The number of boys increased = 20

New ratio = 1:1

To find:

The original number of girls & boys.

Solution:

Let the initial no. of girls & boys be 2x and 3x respectively. Then if the the final ratio is 1:1.

(2x+30)/ (3x+20) = 1/1

2x+30 = 3x+20

x = 10

The original number of girls will be = 2x = 20

The original number of boys will be = 3x = 30

The original number of girls & boys will be 20 and 30 respectively.
