Thus of graph of displacement vs time we will have slope = d(displacement)/d(time) which is equal to velocity.

The slope gives velocity at a particular moment & we should not mistake it with the average velocity.

We get average velocity from slope only when speed is constant or the curve is of form t=speed*displacement + c
