given 80 passengers in a bus with the average mass per person and weight they are carrying, find increased percentage in mass

Explanation:

  1. total no. of passenger be n , n=80.  Average mass per person be w, w=165kg. Mass of bags each passenger is carrying be c, c=22kg.
  2. total mass of the passengers= nw= 80x165= 13200kg
  3. total increase in mass=total mass of carry bags= nc= 80x22= 1760kg
  4. total weight in the bus= nw+nc= 14960
  5. percentage increase in mass = \frac{total\ mass\ in\ bus}{increased\ mass\ in\ bus\ }\ x\ 100= \frac{1760}{14960}\ x\ 100 = 11.76 %
