1. Urban Area :-

An urban area, or built-up area, is a human settlement with a high population density and infrastructure of built environment. Urban areas are created through urbanization and are categorized by urban morphology as cities, towns, conurbations or suburbs.

Rural Area :-

A rural area or countryside is a geographic area that is located outside towns and cities. The Health Resources and Services Administration of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services defines the word rural as encompassing "...all population, housing, and territory not included within an urban area. Whatever is not urban is considered rural."

2. Urban Life :-

Urban towns or cities are cool to live in. Rapid growth of technology and exchange of ideas mostly happen in Urban areas. They have higher literacy rates, well-built schools and colleges with good infrastructure. Urban life is competitive and challenging. To attain stabilized living, one has to prefer an urban area as there are wide range of opportunities. Urban areas are where more people rise out of poverty when compared to rural areas. Technical and technological advancement happens more rapidly in the urban areas.

Rural Life :-

A Village is a small community with Agriculture as a fundamental profession. Population density is lower hence less chaos. Rural citizens live far from technology and close to the nature for they believe in its entirety. They acquire traditional knowledge from their ancestors and pour out their trust in Herbal Healers. Social Solidarity or Unity is stronger than the Urbanites. Here the population is more religious, superstitious and are easily influenced in the matters of deities. Technological advancement is slower or poor.

3. Urban Administration :-

Urban Administration means a programme of the Govt to administer the Urban Bodies like the Municipality, Municipal Corporations and the Notified Area Councils ( NAC )of the state. ... But the administration is controlled throug the Dept of Urban Administration of the State Govt.

Rural Administration :-

It refers to small settlements which is outside the boundaries of a city, commercial or industrial area and may include countryside areas and villages, where there is natural vegetation. ... In India, a town whose population is below 15000 is considered rural, as per the planning commission.

4. The classification that divides people into either 'rural' or 'urban' is often used when policies are being developed but is in fact misleading and unhelpful. Links exist between rural and urban locations in the same way that links exist between people and their activities.

  • These links are not only key components of livelihoods and of local economies, they are also 'engines' that drive economic, social and cultural transformations. Rural-urban interactions include:

  • Linkages across space (such as flows of people, goods, money, information and wastes).

  • Linkages between sectors (for example, between agriculture and services and manufacturing).

Rural-urban interactions can also include 'rural' activities taking place in urban centres (such as urban agriculture) and activities often classified as 'urban' (such as manufacturing and services) taking place in rural settlements.

5. Let us that our village in U.P.

Answer:

Disguised unemployment is a kind of unemployment in which there are people who are visibly employed but are actually unemployed. This situation is also known as 'hidden unemployment'. In such a situation more people are engaged in a work than required. For example:

1. In rural areas, this type of unemployment is generally found in agricultural sector like - in a family of 9 people all are engaged in the same agricultural plot. But if 4 people are withdrawn from it there will be no reduction in output. So, these 4 people are actually facing disguised unemployment.

2. In urban areas, this type of unemployment can be seen mostly in service sectors such as in a family all members are engaged in one petty shop or a small business which can be managed by less number of persons.
