Explanation:
ELECTROMAGNETIC INDUCTION:
- It refers to current produced in a circuit due to formation of EMF (electro-motive force) with respect to a varying magnetic field and magnetic flux.
- It was first discovered by Michael Faraday and mathematically postulated by James Clerk Maxwell.
- The EMF produced can be mathematically written as :
Now, current in circuit hence depends upon 2 factors:
- Rate of change of magnetic flux: Higher the rate change, higher will be the EMF and higher will be the current.
- Number of coils of wire around the magnetic field: Higher the number of coils, higher is the current.
Hope It Helps.
