Answer:

1)Kinetic energy is energy possessed by a body by virtue of its movement. Potential energy is the energy possessed by a body by virtue of its position or state. While kinetic energy of an object is relative to the state of other objects in its environment, potential energy is completely independent of its environment. Hence the acceleration of an object is not evident in the movement of one object, where other objects in the same environment are also in motion. For example, a bullet whizzing past a person who is standing possesses kinetic energy, but the bullet has no kinetic energy with respect to a train moving alongside.

2) Energy makes life viable; yet it can’t be felt, seen or heard. Everything that occurs on earth happens because energy is changed from one form to another. We depend on energy to run our homes and businesses.

There are many different forms of energy, such as light energy, heat energy, mechanical energy, gravitational energy, electrical energy, sound energy, chemical energy, nuclear or atomic energy. The two major forms of energy are Kinetic Energy and Potential Energy.

3) examples of potential energy are----

1)A rock sitting on the edge of a cliff. If the rock falls, the potential energy will be converted to kinetic energy, as the rock will be moving.

2)A stretched elastic string in a longbow. When the elastic string is released, it will cause the arrow to shoot forward.

3)A sparkler. The chemical potential energy in a sparkler will be released when the top of the stick is lit.

examples of kinetic energy are----

1)when you are walking or running your body is exhibiting kinetic energy.

2) Running water has kinetic energy and it is used to run water mills.

3) Moving air has K.E and is used to derives windmills and pushes sailing boats, similarly, a bullet fired from a gun has kinetic energy and can penetrate into a target because of its K.E.

Please mark this the brainiest answer as it helps and motivates us!!!!

Answer:

  1. potential energy is stored in an object or system because of its position or configuration. kinetic energy is relative to other moving and stationary object in its immxidiate environment.
  2. light energy , heat energy , mechanical energy , gravitational energy , electrical energy , sound energy , chemical energy , nuclear or atomic energy. The two major types of major energy kinetic energy and potential energy.

3. kinetic energy-----

  • Running water has kinetic energy and it is used to run water mills.
  • When we are running or walking our body is exhibiting kinetic energy.
  • A bicycle in running motion possess kinetic energy.

potential energy-----

  • streching of rubberband stores potential energy.
  • water at the top of a waterfall stores potential energy.
  • drawing of a bow stores of potentil energy beacuse of position.
