Wooden blocks were expensive in fact printing was not even possible on the wooden blocks because it was very hard to write on these wooden blocks and because this wooden blocks were expensive they were not available to everyone As it was difficult to write it was time consuming and less efficient.
This of course affected the spread of knowledge because as the wooden blocks were expensive these could not be used by everyone thus reading or the access of knowledge was Limited.
