Q1. When we kick a football along the ground, after sometime it gets stop due to force of

a)Friction b)Gravitation c)Magnet d)Electrostatic

Answer :- a) Friction

When the ball is in motion in the frontward direction, then as we know that friction opposes motion, the friction puts a force towards the backward direction. Hence, after some time, the ball stops.

Q2. 100 N force is required to move a body on rough horizontal surface with constant speed. If another body of same mass is kept on it and tied ,then force required to move body with same constant speed will be-

Answer :- Force = 100 N

We know, F = m × a

A/q, acceleration is constant and another body of same mass is tied.

Then mass and acceleration becomes twice. As a result, force also gets twice. So, the force required to move body with same constant speed will be 2 × 100 = 200 N.

c)D.J Ivanowski

d)Anton can Leeuwenhoek

Answer :- d) Anton can Leeuwenhoek

Anton can Leeuwenhoek is called virus vivum fluidum.

Q4. Each interior angle of regular polygon is four times of it's exterior angle. If side of the given polygon is 9.6 cm,then the perimeter of polygon is-

Answer :- A/q,

Each interior angle of regular polygon is four times of it's exterior angle.

Length of each side of the polygon is 9.6 cm.

  • Let the measure of each interior angle =  y
  • Let the measure of each exterior angle = x

y = 4x (given)

Number of sides = 360°/x

→ x + y = 180°

→ Exterior angle + Interior angle = 180°

→ x + 4x = 180°

5x = 180

x = 36°

So, no. of sides = 360/36 = 10 sides

Perimeter = 9.6 × 10 = 96 cm

Q5. If each interior angle of regular polygon is x, then x cannot be equal to

(explain property)

a) 30°

b) 90°

c) 144°

d) 156°

Answer :- a) 30°

Each exterior angle of a regular polygon = 360° divided by number of sides in the polygon.

Triangle is the polygon with minimum number of sides and an equilateral triangle is a regular polygon because all sides are equal in this. We know that each angle of an equilateral triangle measures 60°. Hence, 60° is the minimum possible value for internal angle of a regular polygon.

Hence, x cannot be 30° .
