1. Swami Haridas said that Tansen was talented because on seeing Swami and his disciples resting in the forest he hid behind a tree and roared like a tiger and managed to frighten his disciple.

3. Akbar would call upon Tansen to sing at any time of the day or night. Akbar would just walk into Tansen's house to hear him practice. Akbar also gave him many presents therefore some of the courtiers at the Court became jealous of him. All this indicated that Akbar was fond of Tansen.
