Q1. Why did the Mayor call the statue 'a little better than beggar'?​

Explanation:

The statue of the happy prince was completely destroyed when he lost his jewels . Now he was not looking like a prince but a beggar . That's why the mayor said prince to be looking like little better than a begger.
