Holy Thursday or Maundy Thursday is observed on the Thursday before Easter. This day commemorates the last supper of the Jesus Christ and foot washing with apostles (the twelve chief disciples of Jesus Christ).
It’s mainly observed by Catholic Christians thus, considered as a special day in the Christian Calendar or Gregorian calendar. The Holy Thursday is considered pious because it was the last time when Jesus had last meal with his disciples.
