Q1.Why tungsten is used exclusively for filaments of electric bulbs?

it is used as it has a higher resistance and due to which it does not melt faster and give a great amount of heat and light energy.

The melting point and resistivity of tungsten are very high. It does not burn very easy at a high temperature. The electric lamps glow at very high temperatures. Hence, tungsten is mainly used as heating element of electric bulbs.
