Answer:

Plants cannot themselves obtain nitrogen from the air but rely mainly on the supply of combined nitrogen in the form of ammonia, or nitrates, resulting from nitrogen fixation

Stomata have two main functions, namely they allow for gas exchange acting as an entryway for carbon dioxide (CO2) and releasing the Oxygen (O2) that we breath. The other main function is regulating water movement through transpiration.

Leguminous plants fix the atmospheric nitrogen with the help of Rhizobium bacteria present in the root nodules of these plants. So farmers do not use fertilisers to soil in which leguminous plants are grown.

Answer:

10. Plants get their nitrogen from the soil and not directly from the air. Plants get the nitrogen that they need from the soil, where it has already been fixed by bacteria and archaea

12. The pores surrounded by specialized parenchymatic cells, called guard cells. Stomata have two main functions, namely they allow for gas exchange acting as an entryway for carbon dioxide (CO2) and releasing the Oxygen (O2) that we breath. The other main function is regulating water movement through transpiration.

13. The insectivorous plants grow in soil which do not contain sufficient nitrogen mineral. These plants (e.g. pitcher plant) are green and carry out photosynthesis to obtain a part of the food required by them. So, insectivorous or carnivorous plants feed on insects to obtain the nitrogen needed for their growth.

14. Leguminous plants fix the atmospheric nitrogen with the help of Rhizobium bacteria present in the root nodules of these plants. So farmers do not add nitrogenous fertilisers to soil in which leguminous plants are grown.
