and we know that sum of angles in a straight line is 180olet the unknown

angle be x∠1:∠2=3x:

2x∠1+∠2=180o3x+2x=180o5x=180ox=36o=> ∠1=3×36o=108o=> ∠2=2×36o=72o

We know that vertically opposite angles are equal.∠1=∠3=108o∠2=∠4=71o

We know that corresponding angles are equal.∠1=∠5=108o∠2=∠6=71o∠4=∠8=71o∠3=∠7=108o∴

∠1=∠5=∠3=∠7=108o and∴

∠1=∠5=∠3=∠7=108o

and∠2=∠6=∠4=∠8=71o.
